Light Of The World

“Light Of The World” our December Advent series will be starting next week! Come along Sunday December 1st and hear about this series we’re launching for the Christmas period.


Star Kids Launch this Sunday

This Sunday we will be launching Star Kids! Putting a smile on children’s faces locally, and internationally by donating a gift to those who would go without this Christmas. Pick up a tag this Sunday! If you aren’t able to make it this Sunday Celebration and would like to sponsor a child or help in some way, please contact Anna at starkids@restoringhands.org.uk

It’s not too late to book on for Care for the Family‘s event – “Left to their own devices?” November 28, 2019 held at St Luke’s Maidstone, ME14 5AR. We really encourage those with children to book on to attend this course, as the content is so relevant to family life today. The Princess Project charity will be running a Christmas Fair to raise awareness and funds to continue the amazing work they do.

Did you know that they offer love, support, and encouragement to mums by addressing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs?

Equipping Evening:
Wednesday 20th November. Time: 7.30pm-9pm. Location: CAST office, 4 Buckland Road, Maidstone, Kent ME16 0SL. 
First Outing:
Thursday 21st November. Time: 9.45am-midday. Location: CAST office, 4 Buckland Road, Maidstone, kent, ME160SL
Who? We will need volunteers from different Maidstone churches to help in three different areas: a) Follow Up (discipleship); b) Prayer Support; and c) Part of the teams going out. 
Where? We plan to meet in different locations every month at different times of the day. The first location is along the River Medway between Lockmeadow and The Range.
Format of morning: 9.45 arrive followed by welcome, prayer and worship. 11am go out in pairs. 11.50am return to base for report back.

Habitation Youth – Saturday & Sunday 2, 3 October 2019

Last Friday we had a great evening as the youth all came together for a movie social. We ate a lot of popcorn and sung our hearts out to the new Disney ‘Aladdin’ movie.

This Saturday 2nd November we will be meeting at the Doggett’s household for some dinner together before heading down to the town-wide youth event called ‘The Space’ which involves worship and creative prayer for the youth.

YTO is hanging out with Brooke on Sunday! They will be continuing with Youth Alpha – ‘How can we have faith?’ Come and join us!

Habitation – Youth Time Out!

Last Sunday at Youth Time Out, Anna shared “How we can relate to God” focusing on God as Father, Teacher, and King… followed by an awesome afternoon “BAKE OFF” social – lots of fun and sugar went down!

This Friday we have a popcorn and movie night social at Ben and Kaat’s house from 7:30-9:30pm.

Waypoint Celebration Service

You are invited to join us in a Waypoint Celebration service! Churches across Maidstone are meeting together to extend God’s Kingdom. Neil will be sharing feedback about Walking the Way. Find out more about Waypoint by clicking here)
Event details: 20th October 6pm, Salvation Army, Union Street.

There will also be “Maidstone Passion Play” coming up Sunday 29th March at Whatman Park. Maidstone churches will not be holding their morning services, so that we can all come together – so special! So mark the date in your diaries, invite your friends! It will be a wonderful outreach opportunity to spread the message of Christ.
