The Feast – Ladies ministry update

The Feast – Ladies ministry update

We ladies kicked off the year, feasting on good company at our January ‘starter’ event. The purpose of the evening was to deepen our existing connections and provide a chance to forge new ones. Faced with an array of food platters, from cheese boards to cakes to exotic fruits and jerk chicken, we gathered around with no other agenda than to enjoy one another’s company.

“I haven’t really enjoyed being amongst a big group of people for a long time, but I really enjoyed the ladies’ evening. It was so lovely just to be free to chat and catch up with old friends and new. It was such a relaxed environment, with some structure if you wanted it but no pressure at all!”
Beth Caddick

The next event (a ‘main course’ this time) is on Saturday 14th March 2020, 930am-12noon at The Vine on Boughton Lane. Please let one of the team know if you would like to attend.
Also, bookings have opened for our afternoon tea at Chilston Park Hotel on Saturday 11th July at 2pm. Visit jubilee.co for more information.

The Big Question – Equipping and Outing

What is The Big Question?

The Big Question is a chance for ordinary church members to adopt a lifestyle of speaking about Jesus and discipling others. Volunteers are invited to partner with God in sharing His love to our broken world by engaging in conversations with people on the street.
Each month there will be an equipping night followed by a morning of going out in different parts of Maidstone.

How can you be involved?

We need volunteers from different churches in Maidstone to help in three different areas:
– part of teams going out
– prayer support
– follow up (discipleship)

It is essential for those who will be going out to attend an equipping session prior to doing so.

Equipping Evening

When: Tuesday 21st January 2020 | 7:30-9pm
Where: Jubilee Business Centre | 11 Ashford Road, Maidstone, ME14 5DA

Outing

When: Saturday 25th January 2020 | 9:45am – midday
Where: Meet at the Jubilee Business Centre for a time of worship and prayer before going out in pairs.

Sunday Series

This coming Sunday, Claire Maudhub will be sharing the next part in our series “Walking on Water”, looking at “When the doubts surface”. Come and join us for our 10am start at Tree Tops Academy.

Maidstone Easter Play

On Sunday 29th March 2020 the Churches in Maidstone have the opportunity to continue our journey together and present Jesus to our town in a new way, by bringing the Easter story to life.

Maidstone Easter Play will be an immersive, outdoor production, where the audience become the Jerusalem crowd, following actors from across the churches as they dramatize the final events of Jesus’ ministry, all within the Town Square, behind the Lockmeadow Centre.

There will be 2 performances of 90 minutes, at 11am and 3pm.
We won’t be having our normal celebration at Tree Tops Academy that morning.

If you want to get involved, please contact the office at office@jubilee.co.
