This past Sunday, Neil shared with us on “Judgement Day”; a theme that is not often discussed in Sunday morning preaches. We looked at what judgement we rightfully deserve because of our sinful nature and tendencies to “push the truth away”. But we were also reminded of the depth of redemption Christ gives us because of His taking all our sin and therefore our deserved punishment. He is our Defence when we stand before the judgement seat of God.
We are using our Sunday morning times together also to showcase the various nations we have represented within Jubilee, getting to know more about the riches of all the different cultures. We learned more about the UK this past Sunday and the one coming up next is Canada.

This past Sunday, Dan shared with us from Matthew 5:6, looking at what it means to “hunger and thirst for righteousness”. He also made us think about what the “new normal” looks like and what it is defined by, as life is being reshaped in this time of COVID-19. He encouraged us to let our new normal be shaped by God’s Word and standard, not by fear, not by external circumstances, but by how God tells us to do life through His Word.

Rutland Woods Work Party 4th July
A message from Tim Biddlecombe, who is our Jubilee person responsible for managing the woods:
“I hope you saw the videos of the woods during Sunday’s Zoom Celebration, and realised what a beautiful and special place it is.
When I volunteered to help manage the woods I was surprised that Neil described it as a ministry, but soon came to realise that it really is. For some of the young people from Kings Reach it may be their only place of safety, peace and contact with Christians; for others it is a place of reflection and connecting with God, or a time of fun and fellowship with friends, Home Groups and families in a unique and special environment. This vital ministry needs your help. Left uncared for the undergrowth would soon cover the paths and choke the beautiful flowers; the lake would become virtually invisible and the open spaces smothered in brambles.
Can I encourage you to join our next work party, please? It really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’ especially if you can bring a petrol strimmer/ brushcutter!
For more details and to reserve your place, please contact me on 07850 701037 or at tim.biddlecombe@jubilee.co.
I look forward to seeing you there. Thank you, Tim.
P.S.: Gwyneth has promised to supply “goodies” for all the helpers!”

Family Weekend Away – Update
As I am sure many of you will have suspected, we will not be going ahead with the Jubilee Family Weekend, originally booked in for 26-28 June 2020.
We can now confirm that the venue has kindly agreed to postpone our booking to the weekend of 24th June 2022 (in two years’ time). 2021 was already booked up and as we wanted to have a summer booking we have taken the weekend in 2022.
The payments Jubilee has already made to the venue will not be refunded but held on deposit. Therefore, we are also proposing to hold any moneys you might already have paid and use this to secure your place in 2022. If you are happy with this, you do not need to do anything at this stage. However, we understand that for some of you, finances are tight in light of the circumstances and you may prefer to have your money back and re-book at a later stage. If this is the case, please email office@jubilee.co with your full name, amount to be repaid and bank details. We will verify the amounts before refunding.

In current circumstances, we are using Zoom to connect together on Sundays. The meetings will still be recorded and uploaded onto the website under the AM Celebration podcast feed. Each week we will also share the slides from the meeting, so you can go over them and use it in your times with the Lord throughout the week.
Please can we encourage everyone to turn on their video (unless there is a good reason not to!) during the celebration. This really helps us to build a sense of community by allowing us to see each other’s faces. If you are not able to have your video turned on, then don’t worry and connect with us anyway.
If you have a personal Zoom account or app on your device, please make sure you are logged out before clicking the link to join. This should avoid you having to fill in meeting ID and password. Email office@jubilee.co if you have any questions.
This past Sunday, Andy shared with us from Ephesians 2:11-22. We looked at “one new community” that we, as believers, are now a part of, i.e. the Church. We are all members of one another, called to live and love in unity.
Each week, there will be a number of sessions which will each consist of a brief 15 minute talk followed by a chance for you to connect with others and ask questions.
The Zoom link will be the same for both Tuesday and Thursday lunch time sessions. If it changes, there will be a separate notice. Link: https://zoom.us/j/4651812918

We need your help to keep the woods in good condition for individuals and groups to use. If you enjoy being outdoors and being active, then please come and help.
The tasks will include: clearing undergrowth and paths through the woods; repairs to the track and general tidying up.
There’s always plenty of snacks and drinks around the camp fire with old and new friends so do come along. We hope that we will be able to accommodate more than 6 but this will depend on the lockdown conditions.
For more details and to reserve your place, please contact Tim Biddlecombe on 07850 701037 or at tim.biddlecombe@jubilee.co.

This past Sunday, Neil shared on “Jesus our refuge”, looking at Psalm 142 where David was hiding from his physical enemies. He made it practical for us in this time of lockdown, too. God is still fulfilling His purposes and He is still in control, even when we might feel trapped and out of control.
