CAST (Churches and Schools Together) are in great need of more mentors in the Maidstone Secondary Schools. They are looking for volunteers who: like young people, are good listeners and who have an hour a week to spare during school hours, term time only. CAST have been asked if Churches would support at St Simon Stock School (SSS), they would like to deliver CAP money course with year 13 students. This is something CAST have facilitated at Aylesford school and it has been really successful. SSS have a large 6th form which means that the idea is to deliver the course every other week with sets of students, but this means we desperately need more volunteers. CAST is willing to send volunteers on the CAP training day if you aren’t already trained. If you are interested in helping facilitate this please contact office@jubilee.co.
